A Beautiful Mind

What is a brain? Well, in my own simple terms, its a part of the body, made of flesh, which tells you who you are. Then, what is a mind? Again, its a part of the body, inside your brain, which tells you who you wanna be.

Sounds a bit tricky, Isn't it? Well in computer analogy, you can imagine your brain as the combination of ALU and MU, whereas your mind is the CU. When some of your input organs, detect an external change, they inform you mind, which redirects it to your brain to process it and react accordingly. The Brain(ALU + MU) stores the stimuli and the reaction in the MU part of it for future reference. When a similar stimuli comes in the future, the ALU part queries the MU part and picks the proper response.

Well, what does the mind do here and what is a beautiful mind? Lets suppose, you fall in love with a girl/guy for the first time in your life. Who does tell you that, you are in love?? Its obvious that, its the mind which responds to first time experiences, when your brain has no information about it. But, on subsequent similar experiences, it gives ways to your brain and functions just as an interface.

Suppose you are on your way to your favorite restaurant. You have 100 Rupees (approx, US$ 2) with you. At the entrance you find an old beggar. Suddenly your mind wakes up and calls your brain. The ALU collects information like Food- Rs 50, Travel- Rs 20, Phone bills- Rs 20, Tips to the waiter- Rs 5 from the MU part and prepares your sequence of actions. It finds that you have Rs 5 to spare that day. But, it warns your mind to keep it for emergency. Your mind gets these information an here is the Beautiful mind, which simply overrides the warning and lets you give the spare to the beggar.

So, Its clearly understandable that, a beautiful mind is one which acts independent of your brain, even when it is instructed to act the other way. Most of us are born mind rulers, but slowly as we grow, we let our brain take control. A beautiful mind is one which knows when to act and does act!!!
