10 things you can do!!!

We Indians are used to look at the Western World with awe and gaze. I was wondering what makes us do so? We have a growing GDP, good presence on the World stage, Kind hearted people,a better culture, Beautiful landscape and monuments, and so on. Even with all these, why do we look upon the western world with our mouths wide open?Ah! Cleanliness. Their cities look clean and beautiful, roads look like newly polished shoes, buildings as if they were built yesterday. Clearly, it is this, that divides the Western world and us.

I was thinking, As an individual, how can we help this cause, of making India a cleaner country. I have come up with ten points, an individual can do to keep his surroundings and himself clean.

1) NEVER SPIT on the road. The country's roads deserve more than your saliva

2) Always keep your vehicle in good condition. AVOID FUEL SPILLS, which have a destructive effect on roads.

3) DO NOT SMOKE in public. You not only pollute air, but aid Cancer.

4) NEVER PEE in public. One day, an alien coming to research this planet, maybe foolish enough to take that as a water channel (He will believe India had ample water, unfortunately, its scarce)

5) USE LOW LEVELS OF AUDIO. Keep music and shouting to yourself. Don't think if you enjoy something others will too.

6) DON'T THROW GARBAGE and left-overs like Chocolate covers, Soft drink cans, tissues wherever you please. Find a Garbage can.

7) KEEP YOUR HOUSE CLEAN. A broom and a dust bin won't cost you much.

8) DISPOSE YOUR WASTES PROPERLY (Use your municipality services). Don't dump everything into the road side drainage which may lead to drainage clogs.

9) the most important thing. BRUSH, BATH (both on a daily basis)and WASH YOUR CLOTHES (as frequently as possible). It will keep your body and mind clean.

10) You not only follow the above, but teach them to others. Once you obey the above, the others will follow suit.

And Don't blame the Government for not keeping the country clean. They can never come and put their hands in between you and the ground, when you spit or pee.
