The size of your wallet and the depth of your Heart !

Which one is bigger? Asking yourself this question, if you feel, the size of your wallet is bigger, you are still a human. If you believe otherwise, I am sorry to say that, you belong to a group which wants to portray itself as a collection of good souls. I said, I am sorry.

Including me, we, humans, have a tendency to say so, at times. But, the reality is, when it comes to giving away, we are reluctant, aren't we? We tend to have more than what we need, rather than giving it away to the needy. When questioned, we answer, "I am saving it for the rainy day". But, what about the others sharing this planet with you, this summer. No one really wants to beg for things. They do only when they don't have much of a choice.

U will accept the fact that, most of your incomes, (let me be more frank), most of our incomes, are greater than the per ca pita income of our nation. What does this mean. We take more than what the country can afford to give us, simply from others shares. The others, suffer, being at the receiving end. I do not mean that, you don't deserve what you earn, but simply that your nation can't give others. You consume your nation's resources, more than the average income groups. We tend to, hide(we call it, "savings" for the outside world) our belongings and keep them to ourselves, when our brothers keep dying due to poverty, draught, unemployment, malnutrition and so on.

So what shall we do? Give away everything and become a beggar by ourselves. Well, No. Take what you need, not what you can and Give what you can. Then, the next thing. Just by giving money or food or clothes, can we become a socially responsible person. No, we really can't be called a good soul. Not yet. But, this can be a good starting point.

When you keep donating, the beautiful mind within you, will start questioning. Is only my money, do the needy deserve? Your mind will tell you that, they deserve more. They deserve kindness and care. You suddenly give both.

Understand this. Giving money for a good cause doesn't make you or me a God. But, it will make us good humans. Take what you need, and give what you can. If your money can feed the hungry, if it can cure the diseased, if it can educate a poor child, it's worth earning.

If you were believing that, you had just two eyes, you were wrong. You have one more, waiting to be discovered. All you have to do, is just see !

The per capita income of India as per a survey by World bank on 24 July 2008, was $950. Today, It could be anywhere between 900 to 1000 dollars. Thats why, I said "MOST OF" our incomes are greater. However, I believe you have mistaken it to be monthly, in fact its annual. We are still a developing country. And you earn more than the per capita income.
