The Holy Grail !
Could it be the biggest mystery in History? Well, Most definitely. It has kept men running behind it, for well, over 1000 years. It has led to the rise and fall of empires. And what not. Before writing my next line, I would like to tell you that i am no grail hunter or a surviving knight Templar, with a small cup, or a Dan Brown. I am not interested in adding anything to the already available list of holy grails, by thinking that, if it had something to do with Jesus' blood, why couldn't it be his coffin. No, I am not going to confuse you more.
But then, I wanted to know, what this holy grail was about, at least to satisfy myself. As far as my knowledge deciphers, it is believed to be a cup from which Jesus, sipped during the last summer and with which, Joseph caught his blood, from the cross or the bloodline of Jesus, probably through Mary Magdalene, the so-called prostitute. Well, it is far from easy to find any real hard evidence to prove any of these theories, unless and until, Jesus plans one more visit to this planet. Ancient texts contradict each other and are a fake, most of the times.
I have neither the patience of an archaeologist, to dig and find what was that, nor the belief to believe that it was physical. What I do have is a small brain, weighing over 1.4 Kg, sitting near the top of my skull, trying to solve a problem logically.
First the cup. If knights Templar were to be believed, a small cup could have never brought them to power. If they were not to be believed, the cup has no significance at all. Also, on a lighter note, it would have been real tough, to find from which cup Jesus drunk.
Next the bloodline. This looks good, for knights Templar to have come to power. But not until they are going to prove that it was the correct bloodline. With no DNA testing, it would have been no less to impossible. Simply because someone can draw lines and make it tress, no one will accept Jesus' bloodline, even if it existed.
Simple common sense will say NO to both. But how did something, that can be easily deciphered using simple common sense escape 1000 years. There has to be some importance to this grail. Yes it has. In all cases of reference to this, it has some connection to blood, something that signifies Life. Is the Holy Grail just a symbol of Life? Well, Yes. Life is the most holiest of all. Its sacred and precious. We want to hold onto it forever. Even at the last moments, we give a tough fight. We in fact run behind our lives always. So understand that, each and every one of us has a holy grail. Value It !
