It never happened !

It was rainy season in Southern India. The South East monsoon has picked up moisture from the Arabian sea and has started to condensate over the peninsula. However, this July evening was different. There was no out pour. It was just drizzling. He was walking in a road, that was completely deserted but for the flowers that have just died, lying on the road. Both the sides of the road was bordered by huge tress on which small yellow flowers, which were only a few Milli metres across petals, blossomed. he did not know the name of the flower, but he could see the beauty in it. He imagined the road as a carpet of flowers and walked silently. The drizzle has left his hair, as well his clothes wet. He enjoyed the scene. He doesn't get many.

Tall, Lean and Elegant. Few metres in front of him. There, she was. In her black tops and a red skirt. Open hair and long earrings. He was only able to see this much, standing exactly behind her. But, it looked for him, a barbie was walking. He took a couple of long strides and came close to her. She was moving slowly, enjoying the rain and the flowers. He wanted to see her face. He made a few efforts, only to end up with no success. He was expecting the least, when she did turn. She caught him, looking her with his eyes wide open.

When all was over, all he knew was, she had smiled at him. Before he could fully come to terms with what had happened, she was walking again. By any means, it was the cutest thing he had ever seen in his life. Strings of hair, gracefully falling over a glittering face, a glowing smile that lit his heart, and her beautiful lips, that was asking to be kissed. He went crazy. He fell in love with her, at first sight.

Well, I always wonder, why all these kinda things happen only in a movie or in our dreams. This never seems to happen in real life and with me it is becoming close to impossible. I don't believe in love at first sight, but i dream of one happening to me. But, even when i am closing in on 23, i haven;t had one. probably, it did not happen with you either. I believe, every one of us, will be having such fantasies.

But, In real life, what looks easy in a dream, is real hard. Most of us love dreams, don't we? I spend most of my nights, dreaming of everything. From having a girl friend, to being a movie star, to ruling the World. Nothing has escaped my dreams. I simply can not live without dreams. Most of you will share that thought. For us, dreams seem to be more enjoyable than real life. This could be because of the fact that, Dreams give you unrestricted access to untried territories, with no risk and cost. No responsibilities, no fucking jobs. Fun and Fun only. You can be what you wanted to be. An aspiration, which goes unanswered in real life, can be answered here.

Dreams are certainly a boon to humans(i don't know if other animals do dream). No questioning that. But, there is one other thing. TRUTH. Dreams are not true. they are virtual images, painted by our eyes, only for us. They live and die within the six hour sleep. Short lived fellows. they are names painted on a sea shore, waiting to be washed away by a huge wave. Well, in this case, another dream. But, real lives are true. they live long. they are names carved into a rock. they do erode, but slowly.

I am not going to ask you to stop dreaming. I can not do that either. But, I can differentiate it from real life. I hope, so do you. Live your dreams, and Love your life. Real life also brings you happy, joyous, interesting, enjoyable, romantic, satisfying moments for you. It is up to us to find them. Do find them. And never stop dreaming. Once you stop, you are dead.
