India's White House !

Over 400 years ago, when the mughal dynasty was still struggling to get out of the cradle, in a Hindu-dominant India, a young ruler, well, may not be young, but a great one, made a statement, which still keeps his name high in the Indian history. On the banks of Yamuna, in the colour of snow, he built a magnificent tomb, which has been his and his wife's residence after their death. For his third wife, his favorite, Shah Jahan built the Taj mahal naming it after her, Mumtaz. Symbol of love ! But, are we learning the true history ? What are the secrets hidden behind it ? What is the mystery buried beneath the foundations of the incomplete Black Taj mahal ? Let us explore.

For quite some time now, Taj mahal has been considered the symbol of love. It doesn't fail to become one of the seven Wonders of the World. Built with white marbles, jewelled with Emeralds, Rubies and other precious stones (name of which i am yet to learn), Taj mahal is definitely one hell of a tomb. We have been taught in primary school by our teachers that, Shah Jahan built it out f the passion he had for Mumtaz. We giggled and whispered to our friends, how such a mighty emperor fell for a Woman ? Shah Jahan employed all the World's best architects to put in shape such a master piece. All these years, we have seen the structure through Shah Jahan's eyes. how about seeing it through our own pair ?

No piece of architecture is complete without inscriptions. Taj mahal has a lot of them. But, none are addressed at Mumtaz, for whom we believe the tomb was constructed. Every Inscription is addressed towards God. Shah Jahan carved every single letter in the Kuran into his structure. Kuran has some inscriptions how a God's abode will look like. The Taj mahal perfectly fits into that design. The dimensions, the architecture, the asymmetry, and every single aspect of construction leads in to the Kuran. And their tomb, perfectly where God would have rested in Heaven.

Well, most of you would have visited the structure. Some of you might have even noticed an incomplete foundation close by. Many historians believe that Shah Jahan, wanted to build one more replica of his master piece, but one in black. His own tomb. Why a black wonder, near a white wonder ?We will have to get into Shah Jahan's brain to understand why.

Everything is in form of pairs, ain't they ? Light and dark, Up and down. Happiness and sadness. And a hell lot. the twin Taj mahal's can create a Heaven and a Hell on Earth. In short, God's abode. I am not sure, if he wanted to be seen a God himself. But, he had a statement to make. The angel and the Animal. Before, he could do that, he was imprisoned by his son, Aurangzeb, who conspired to dethrone his father and captured the crown. He was killed by his own son and was buried alongside his wife. The longest bond in history. Man and wife in a tomb. Reason being love. Well, after 400 years, Indians have decided to realize Shah Jahan's dream by depositing all wastes on it. They are turning our White house, black.

Be it for Mumtaz(I hope, it was for her) or for God or for any one else, Taj mahal was for Love and will continue to be so. More than the beautiful white marbles, the precious stones and the sacred Kuran, it contains tons of affection, love and passion(Well, The World is forgetting these terms). It has inspired many and will do so, even if it turns Black. Love has no colours. It is all about affection, and Taj mahal stands a witness to it. The human affection.

But, It makes me wonder, how a monument built for love, ended up killing 20,000 people(Shah Jahan killed all architects, chopped off the hands of all construction workers, so that his master piece will not be duplicated). Men are strange, aren't they ?

Ha..ha.. history is the most abused subject. We are only told what we are supposed to know.. That chopping thing was a product of someone's imagination!
