The anti-clock !

An old man, who lost his son in the First World, built a clock, that rotates in the opposite direction to any normal clock, in the movie called "The curious case of Benjamin Button". Well, how about reliving some of the interesting moments of your life, that you have pipe lined into your memory lane.

The first time you met you in a mirror. You might have been a year or so. You crawled out of your bed, out of the room, all the way to the life size mirror(of course, not your size), and stared at the image you have never seen before. Maybe you were a bit scared or even freaked out loud. Well, if you are yet to know, figure out how you managed to identify yourselves, with your image?

You wore something, you never liked. You are going to somewhere, you never wanted to be. You know that, it is not going to be a one day affair. First day to school. You would have cried the hell out of you, when your dad was tying the shoe lace. It would have taken a good effort from your parents to drag you all the way from home to school. Images of your first day at school. Old teachers, young classmates, a heavy bag, uncomfortable clothes, food in a box, spooky languages and scary new people. Your first separation from your mother.

You had a huge attraction for this girl, whom you called, "The cute little monkey". She was in your class. You had a kinda crush on her and you never wanted to let her down. And one day this happens. She flies a kite, which gets caught in an electric pole. She asks you to get it for her. You now imagine yourself as a superman and start climbing the pole, and you end up cursing your hand. While climbing, it failed to hold onto a latch properly, and one of your unbrushed teeth, achieved freedom, that day. Now, you are probably touching that teeth. Well, it has kissed you good bye long back. Sorry. Do you wanna rethink, who was that monkey?

You brushed for over an hour, showered five times, dressed and undressed every piece of cloth you had, combed until half the hair on your head fell, powdered your face with tins of Yardley, looked into the mirror, until it pleaded you not to. It was your first date. It makes me nervous, even when i write. Many of us end up making the first date the last one. We behave unbelievably insane, utterly foolish and funny, and the spoil the efforts of the past month or so. I can see you smile like a monkey. Don't do that in your next date.

Standing alone in a hospital corridor, emptying the tears in the gland, waiting for the doctor to come out. Your spouse was in a car accident and is being operated now. After several gruelling hours, the doctor comes out with the sad face to say, what he had said to most of his victims, sorry, patients, "Sorry, we did our best, BUT....". You cried for days, went without food for months, you did not meet your friends, you thought your life was all over. And one day, you met this girl.....

I can keep going, can't I? The fucking interviews, the dumb jobs, the sweet kiss, the dinner at a roadside hotel with your fiance, the tiring train journey, the midnight rain, the surprising gift, the first failure, unavoidable break ups, the one rupee donation and a sweet lot. Happy, Funny, Joyous, Thrilling, interesting, Boring, irritating, sad, peace, anger, disgusting, satisfying, amazing, unbelievable moments you have had, all end up with a small smile on your face. You could relive the first death you met. But, you never cry for it now. You could relive your gold medal. But, you are not excited. All you do is smile at them.

I am going to pretend a salesman, marketing time. Time is the best healer. The awful moments in your life, doesn't hurt you after years. When, you look back, you just have memories and images, you don't have emotions. Time has wiped' em of. things of the past can be relived, but not lived once more.

Live and Love the future. It has got a lot of secrets and surprises hidden for you. It will slowly reveal the to you. Look into the future and change it. You can not do the same with the past. So don't worry about it.
